Brent Erensel, CFA

Brent founded Erensel LLC in 2025 after a distinguished career as an equity analyst and strategist concentrated on the banking sector. He began his career as a research assistant in 1981 before moving into senior positions focused on the U.S. and Latin American banking sectors and ultimately leading research teams at Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley), Donaldson Lukin and Jenrette, UBS, and Deutsche Bank. He was most recently a partner at Portales Partners.

Brent has an MBA from NYU Stern’s School of Business and a BA from Lawrence University. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst charter in 1985 (#8843) and at one point held Series 7, 16, 63, 86 and 87 registrations. Brent has personal investments in earth friendly and healthy concepts including Açaí of America and Ellicottville Greens (vertical farming).
