Founded Erensel LLC in 2025 after four decades as an equity analyst and strategist concentrated on the banking sector.
Brent began his career as a research assistant in 1981 before moving into senior positions covering the U.S. and Latin American banking sectors, ultimately leading research teams at Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley), Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette, UBS and Deutsche Bank. He was most recently a partner at Portales Partners.
His work connects company-level fundamentals with credit conditions, regulation, interest rates and market psychology. The objective is analysis that is independent, transparent and understandable without sacrificing rigor.
